Vimy 100

Our St Anne junior classes are helping a teacher at St Mark's with a Vimy tribute initiative. Schools were asked to dedicate yellow ribbons to fallen Canadian soldiers from the WWI Battle at Vimy Ridge.

Ribbons were sent to us and today each student was assigned a soldier. On their ribbons, students wrote the soldier's name and a message of thanks to them. The ribbons will be sent back to St Mark's where their students will then tie 3598 yellow ribbons around The Vimy Memorial Bridge (where Earl Armstrong turns into Strandherd at Prince of Wales Dr., Nepean).

They will be tying the ribbons on April 1st at 9:30 a.m and are encouraging students to go with their families to see the event.

Here is a list of the soldiers we honoured with our morning class.
